The tagline of 359 degrees - Worker, Writer, World-traveller is You'll Never Work Alone. The inspiration for using the term “You’ll Never Work Alone” came up during Stephan’s business trip to Liverpool, England in 2008. At that time he was busy doing research work for a new short-story, when he read about FC Liverpool – the famous soccer club of the city where he worked. The forum article also mentioned a Broadway Musical song created by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein in 1945. The song was called “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Liverpool’s soccer fans would sing it in their stadium as a hymn, right before a new game kick-off. The lyrics encourage a pregnant woman – after a sudden death of her husband – to walk alone through her life.

Being touched emotionally by this heart wrenching life story, Stephan’s thoughts flew to his customer colleagues who are always a strong support professionally during the machine repair and installation process. As he travelled to Liverpool, Stephan had a deep doubt and negative feeling within that he may not be able to manage undertaking such a heavy job this time. But finally, together with his colleagues, they completed the work successfully.

This incident combined with the Broadway musical song and the Liverpool soccer hymn inspired Stephan and lead to a wordplay, a metamorphosis of the song lyrics “Walk” into “Work”. And thus the working mode of expression – “You’ll Never Work Alone” – was born. It appeared for the first time ever in 2012, as a subtitle on the front cover of the English “359°” book edition in Germany.

While travelling alone to customers’ site around the world, sometimes loneliness creeps in. During these difficult times, “You’ll Never Work Alone” reminds him that even if he is currently alone, he will never ever walk or work alone.
